Over the last few week’s we’ve been picking up on some multipath interference issues on a handful of Attitude V4s — the result is occasional white flashing on the screens during flight. It took a few weeks to diagnose the problem, but we have a solution now, so we’re going to issue a voluntary recall to repair any affected units.
If you’ve noticed white flashing in your Attitude V4s, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to open a ticket for a free repair.
More about the problem: multipath interference can effectively spike the video voltage, causing saturation of the analog to digital converter. The problem is marginal, which is why we weren’t able to replicate it on all units (and which explains why there haven’t been widespread reports). The good news, though, is that the issue was completely eliminated by a change in the analog to digital converter filters to reduce input spikes — so it’s a pretty straightforward repair.
Any Attitude V4s sold after this week should have the repair in place. In the meantime, we’re committed to repairing any currently affected units free of charge.
