Fat Shark’s Recon goggles are officially live as of this week. To recap, the box goggles are built and marketed as entry-level hardware, allowing new pilots to explore the world of FPV with a low cost, high quality screen.
Product features include:
- Integrated, 40 channel receiver covering five bands (A, B, E, Fat Shark, Race)
- Crisp, WQVGA screen
- 55° field of view
- Included antenna, USB cable and three point headstrap.
We showed the Recon to test pilot Mac Poschwald from Team Nexxblades at the International Drone Sports Conference & Competition in Korea last month and got great initial feedback:
I checked it out in Korea and and its really good – finally a box goggles that don’t look bulky/nerdy – will definitely help to get more people into the hobby 🤟😁
The Recon goggles are ready to fly out of the box; simply charge the headset through any micro-USB connection, power up and go.
As of January 30th, the Recon goggles are now on sale for for the public. If you’ve got a solid micro drone and a top of the line radio, the Recon is the perfect white-label solution to round out the kit. If you have an audience of 3000 that needs spectator goggles at your next event, the Recon is also a great fit.
